General Precepts at Searching Aid .com ( searchingaid.com : ) I believe that shared knowledge and word of mouth sharing, leads to best practice imiitation, and often inspiration.

Thats hardly a new concept, and I'm indebted to the early web pioneers comitment to that sort of interchange.

I'm less certain that the natural way of things will be to keep such and open system. Bottom line pressures, "black hat" entrepeneurs, and limitations on computers to make sense of things that need human review inspire me to do a little more work. Don't get me wront though, I hope to make money in the process, but just like I providing affordable housing, renovating dilapated buildings and making a profit from it in the past, I'd hope that I might take the high road offering my true impressions and still make some money in the process. In the early days of the web, a much larger percentage of people posting links were probably just in it for the greater good. As commercial pressures have risen, link value can be less telling. But if more "white hats" posted more links and as the chains of links can be interpretted in terms of relations, intead of shere weight, people will be able to navigate and find new, small, helpful, or "outsider" sites by the way peoples tools interact. The "we" here is often "I" . My (Tom Norian) opinions, are formed from feedback of readers, friends, and other sites that I read. I can't always, and usually don't recall exactly how my notions of what is worthwhile and what is not was formed. But I use the word "we" because I know certainly that by reading other people sharing their thoughts and questions, as I share my thought here, that any tips or suggestions I offer were formed in a large part by an ongoing conversation with other people. "The WE" credits those people as well as other more specific input I might get on any given issue (including correcting my spelling and grammatical errors). I hope that over time, other people will. Without the help of others, known and unknown incrementally helping, I'd have few thoughts to share with you. Sometimes I'll use "I" to particularly bring out my, the "editors'" personal experience in a field. (and you should take that as an inviation to share more!). But most times what I present has been done after sharing thoughts with others, and the opinion isn't my own personal preference but that which I figured I've compromised and reported from a sum of other people's desires.

I am not any delusion that I'm a final authority on any of the subjects addressed here.

I offer only opinions, and I truly try to express my opinions in a way that expresses both my level of commitment yet which at the same time sugests and invites the possiblilty of alternative, and perhaps contrary approaches to any issue. I understand situational opinions or tips of mine might not apply in the same way to other person's situation, and I usually try to express caveates

I believe that people can express their *opinions* while still recognizing that other people might hold a contrary opinion.

This site, is Not a discussion forum. I do, and will parcipipate in other discussion forrums.

The purpose of this site is to share web access pointers from my Specific experience, not some uneditted , computer driven viewpoint. All the same, I'm willing to have my eyes openned to things I'm missing. I will look carefully at sources and comments submitted . I'll consider improvments to make the site more helpful to "lost searchers" intentions, useful as an egalitarian web tool, and known as a source for excellent sleeper sites.
